Swaying Tribute

This was my second plein air painting of the morning today at Kailua Beach on Oahu after doing a smaller warm-up study of the usual subjects-the beach and beachgoers. Not satisfied, I looked around for something different to paint and turned 180 degrees to spy the light falling on the distant Pali (cliffs) and challenged myself to try something different. "Swaying Tribute" is the result. Frankly, I did not spend much time staring at the subject! After inspiration hits, the brushes take over and you never know where it will take you!
