Azure Blue

Waimanalo Bay, at around 3 miles long, is the longest uninterrupted white-sand beach on Oahu.

Framed by towering ironwood trees with stunning turquoise waters and views of the distant Ko'olau Mountain Range,

it can have distinct moods: typically peaceful or windswept. On this day, tranquility reigned. It was a good day to paint.

"Nalo," as in Waimanalo means "potable water." For ancient Hawaiians fresh water (wai) was a source of life. 

Nalo continues as a source for remembering a life of good times and a love for its present beauty.
