Golden Hour

Sometimes you happen upon a scene that offers extraordinary peace and harmony. A place that inspires you 

to take a long inhale and reflect on the joy and good in your life.  One day, on a remote North Shore Oahu beach, I found myself in deep breath mode.  It was at what I describe as the Golden Hour, that time of day, either sunrise or sunset, when the sun is close to the horizon.  The light is warmer, everything seems softer and glowing, and the shadows are accentuated.

This phenomenon is also known as the "magic hour" and is the ideal time to paint or photograph on location.

I couldn't wait to capture this sensation on my canvas.
