This is a scene painted at Kapiolani Park in Honolulu peering beyond a stately banyan tree to the fabled Royal Hawaiian Hotel. From my home, it is easy for me to determine if the weather is good to paint at the Park. It has a great variety of
subjects of interest. From picnicking to sports to plein air painting, it remains a wonderful place of leisure and enjoyment for all!
