Whee!!

One day I was afoot and exploring Waikiki for painting opportunities.  On the Diamond Head end is Kapahulu Groin.  (Locals know it as the “Groin.”) Makai (ocean side) of this is a surf break known as “Walls.” It is an area exclusively for bodysurfing, paipo boarders and boogie boarders, and NO Surfboards. As an observer, you can witness many happy people like this gal showing her delight after a long ride It is rewarding to find scenes like this to paint.  I love capturing people expressing their passion with an activity they clearly love.
