Winter's Reflection

Winter In Park City, Utah, is not just about skiing for us.  There is a certain pleasure taking day trips to surrounding areas.  

One special place to explore is the North Fields, a freshwater wetland habitat in Heber Valley.  Once there were plentiful dairy, farm, and ranch lands.Now “gentlemen farms” are booming.

You can still take a long slow drive down her gravel roads in every season.  You still see horses prancing around and other pastures with herds of cattle.  In a couple of separate fields there are some long horn bulls.  They win the staring contest.

The dramatic Timpanaogos Range looms high above many fenced pastures. The Provo River and many trickling streams nourish the valley floor. 

This stream in Heber Valley, Utah, was tranquil and reflected not only the clear blue sky but the depth of winter.  

The trees and brush wait patiently for spring time.
