It may not match the "Welcome Back" feeling of the Statue of Liberty or the Golden Gate Bridge
but the "White Barn" at the entrance to Park City, Utah,
provides such an acknowledgement to thousands of people a day.
Seen here, dressed in winter white and plenty of sunshine,
she always offers a warm greeting to passerby’s whether by car or on snowshoes.
With excellent foresight in 1985, Park City purchased the 160-acre historic homestead (1886 - McLane)
and the now restored white barn (constructed by the McPolins in 1922) from Dr. Osguthorpe.
It is a conserved open space officially known as the McPolin Farm,
for use by the community at-large in every season.
