The Provo River is in the final stages of an ambitious restoration project to return it to a meandering channel, it's natural state, instead of a straightened riverbed. The flow is still regulated by the Jordonelle Reservior and the Deer Creek Reservior.
This view looks back toward the Wasatch State Park outside of Midway in Heber Valley and beyond to the upper slopes of Deer Valley. I love the stark contrast in colors between the snowy landscape, the brilliant blues of the chilly river, and the reds and ochre-golds of the scrub trees and rocks along the bank.
